Do you ever hear the word exercise and think, “I can’t do that because I’m not in shape and I’m not an athlete?”
Well, think again.
I’m here to tell you that exercise is just continuous movement of the body with the intention of improving one’s health and fitness. Movement with intention, that’s all.
Bending down to tie your shoe? Not exercise. Bending down to touch your shoe five times with the intention of exercise? Exercise.
Squatting down to pick up your 20 lb child? Not exercise. Squatting 3 times to pick up a 20lb barbell with the intention of exercise? Exercise. Even squatting 3 times to pick up your child with the intention of exercise would be considered exercise.
You get where I’m going with this right? To exercise is to move continuously with intention and anyone who is physically capable of moving can exercise anytime.
The first step to moving continuously is to start moving.
Welcome to day one. We have a great exercise today! Let’s get started.
Exercise: Standing March
Alternate lifting your knees to hip level at a walking pace while raising your opposite arm to chest level. Remember to breathe. In through your nose, out through your mouth.
